London: The website NepalBritain.com, operated from the UK, has honored Nepal’s Acting Ambassador to the UK, Roshan Khanal, with the title of “Outstanding Diplomat.”
Khanal was honored last Sunday by Dr. Badri KC, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, and Chiranjivi Dhakal, President of NepalBritain.com, on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the website.
She was awarded this honor for her significant role in fostering friendly relations between Nepal and the UK during her four-year tenure as the Deputy Chief of Mission and spokesperson at the Nepali Embassy in London.
Previously, she also held the position of Acting Ambassador at the Nepali Embassy in London. Khanal, who has spent more than a decade in Nepal’s Foreign Service, which is known for its competitive entry process, had earlier served as the Head of the Northeast Asia Desk at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Born in Palpa district, Khanal currently resides in Kathmandu after living in Kapilvastu.
Khanal began her government service as a Section Officer and completed a four-year tenure as the First Secretary at the Nepali Embassy in Israel. Known for her humble nature, Khanal is recognized in the UK as a friendly and diligent career diplomat.
