London – The 16th Europe Regional Conference of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) will be held in Malta in the last week of March.
According to Chiranjeevi Khadka, the Europe Coordinator of the NRNA, the association has decided to organize the conference from March 28 to March 30.
The conference will discuss various issues including the $1 billion investment by non-resident Nepalis in Nepal, NRNA citizenship, the association’s regular issues, and the problems faced by Nepali communities in Europe and their potential solutions, the organizers informed.
NRNA’s central officials, representatives from the Nepal government, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), journalists, central presidents of the NRNA International Committee, former presidents, journalists, and founding members are expected to attend the conference.
Europe Regional Secretary Bhuwan Aryal shared progress on the conference preparations, stating, “The preparations are in the final stage. Tasks such as hall bookings and other necessary arrangements are underway.”
The management of the conference will be handled by the NRNA Malta. The NRNA has over two dozen national committees in Europe.
NRNA Belgium’s General Secretary, Rubina Sharma, expressed her happiness about the upcoming regional conference and urged that the discussions focus on the agendas of the national committees.
Previously, the 15th Europe Regional Meeting of the NRNA concluded in Prague, Czech Republic, with the issuance of a 14-point declaration.
