Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to inaugurate the “NRNA Conclave 2025,” organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, in Kathmandu, will be held under the theme “NRN Rights: Foundation for Prosperity.” Prime Minister Oli’s participation in the opening ceremony has been confirmed.
A delegation led by NRNA President Dr. Badri KC visited the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday to formally extend the invitation.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Oli emphasized the need to maintain NRNA as a common and non-political institution for all Nepalis. He assured the delegation that the government remains positive and supportive regarding the legitimate demands raised by the association.
President Dr. KC briefed the Prime Minister about the objectives of the conclave, noting that the event will focus on key issues such as the implementation of non-resident Nepali citizenship, investment in Nepal, labor and migration, and the promotion of tourism.
On the occasion, an invitation was also extended to Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel to attend the conclave.
The delegation included former Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada; NRNA Vice Presidents Dr. Binod Shrestha, Roshan Thapa, and Rozina Rai Pradhan; Deputy General Secretary Som Sapkota; Secretary Tika Gurung; Treasurer Sudan Thapa; Deputy Treasurer Krishna Timalsina; former ICC member Bhimlal Bhattarai; journalist Chiran Sharma; and NRNA’s Chief Executive Director Rajendra Kumar Raut, among others.
