London: The Federation of Nepali Journalists has directed all its overseas branches to halt their conventions.
In a letter issued by Bipul Pokhrel, the President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, it is stated, “As you are aware, the Federation of Nepali Journalists is in the process of holding elections to select new leadership at all three levels following the completion of its 27th General Convention. Therefore, it is requested not to schedule the convention of that branch before the federation’s election and to also suspend the distribution of memberships.”
According to the correspondence issued on 23rd Jestha by the federation, the conventions and electoral processes of all branches, including the Federation of Nepali Journalists UK branch, have been postponed. The convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists UK branch was scheduled for Sunday.
