London: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) UK is set to hold a public hearing regarding non-resident Nepali citizenship and the Gorkha movement.
According to Govinda Kharel, General Secretary of NRNA UK, the association is planning to conduct a public hearing program at the end of August.
The hearing is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 26th, a bank holiday, at Empire Banqueting in Aldershot, focusing on the association and its campaigns.
The main attraction of the event will be the participation of Dr. Badri KC, the president of the International Coordination Council (ICC) of the association. Dr. KC is visiting the UK to attend the 17th anniversary of NepalBritain.com, which will be held in London on September 1st.
The program will provide updates on the latest developments and progress on issues concerning non-resident Nepalis. Dr. KC, along with NRNA UK President Hit Kaji Gurung and other officials, will answer questions from the participants.
Acting Nepali Ambassador to the UK, Roshan Khanal, will be the chief guest at the event, which will also see the participation of NRNA Vice Presidents Dr. Hemraj Sharma, Ramsharan Simkhada, and Rozina Pradhan Rai, as well as ICC officials, NRNA UK leaders, and representatives of Nepali organizations and communities in the UK.
On this occasion, NRNA UK will also organize a welcome and honor program for ICC President Dr. Badri KC. NRNA UK President Hit Kaji Gurung stated that the main objective of the event is to inform the general non-resident Nepali community in the UK about the association’s recent activities and upcoming plans.
He urged all Nepalis in the UK to attend the program, learn about NRNA and its campaigns, ask questions, and provide their advice and suggestions. The program is scheduled from 3 PM to 9 PM.
