London: Dr. Badri KC, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), has called on Nepalis living abroad to invest in Nepal. Dr. KC made this appeal while addressing a program organized by the Liverpool Nepali Society UK, focused on citizenship, property rights, the rights of former Gurkhas, and investment.

He stated, “To maintain a connection with Nepal, it is essential to invest there. If we can invest just 10% of our earnings from abroad in Nepal, the country will move towards prosperity, and the connection with the next generation will be preserved. Therefore, let’s invest in Nepal.”

Dr. KC also encouraged people to engage in charity work, in addition to investing in Nepal.

He further mentioned that due to the efforts of the NRNA, the constitution of Nepal guarantees non-resident Nepali citizenship. Dr. KC assured that the difficulties in implementing non-resident Nepali citizenship would soon be resolved. He added that once someone obtains non-resident Nepali citizenship, there would be no limits on owning property in Nepal, and this citizenship would fully protect their assets.

During the event, NRNA Vice President Dr. Hemraj Sharma urged the audience to join the non-resident Nepali movement. The program, chaired by Society President Netra Kharel, also featured speeches from NRNA Women’s Vice President Rozina Pradhan Rai and others.
